Okay so it's only day 5 and there was really NO outside time to speak of unless you count time spent walking back & forth between the house and car while loading it to go to...Stinson Beach for the weekend!!! But before that happened, me and the girls spent the
whole morning at the Kaiser eye doctor with Adelaide. Guess who's getting glasses? They'll be ready to pick up later this week. Addie asked the eye doctor, whom we saw about a year ago and she still remembers him not-fondly, if he could please not be so impatient this time. She doesn't like him any better but she was such a trooper!

The frames are so cute it almost makes me wish I had to wear glasses! But it also kinda sucks because it means there's something diagnos-ably wrong with her eyes. The prescription is for far-sightedness with the idea being that she is slightly farsighted so her eyes work extra hard to focus on things up close and that's when one of her eyes cross. She can still control it, which is a good thing. And the glasses should help, another good thing. So I am not too worried, just a little bummed. I hope she doesn't mind wearing them, like
all the time, and I hope no one makes fun of her. Do kids still make fun of other kids with glasses?
The rest of the day was spent packing, cleaning the house, and driving. By the time we arrived to the beach house, it was too cold to go outside. (Plus the beach house, owned by a friend of a friend, is so wonderful, no one even wanted to go outside.)
